Ring2Pay is a passive NFC ring and one of LAKS’s range of contactless payment wearables. As a passive NFC ring, Ring2Pay does not have a battery, so it works without a charger or a smartphone. It is made of zirconia ceramic, making it waterproof and dustproof. Ring2Pay is also scratch-resistant and hypoallergenic and can be washed with water-based household soaps and detergents.
The ring can be linked to ABN AMRO personal accounts, iCard digital wallet, KBC debit cards, KBC Brussels debit cards, CBC debit cards, and Nordea Mastercard cards. Ring2Pay smart ring is available in six color variants: black, white, red, pink, blue, and grey.
HOW DOES LAKS RING2PAY WORK?
To link a bank account to Ring2Pay, users need to find their card number and enter this during the registration process on LAKS.com. Do note that this will be done after purchasing the ring. Ring2Pay will not be shipped until the registration process is completed.
To use Ring2Pay for contactless payments at the point of sale users have to close their hand into a fist and place it near the terminal right over the contactless acceptance mark. The transaction succeeds if the green light appears and a beep sounds off.
